COURSE DESCRIPTION & INFORMATION
The study of History is essential in developing citizens who understand contemporary issues with a depth and wisdom drawn from the experiences of the past. Through the study of history, which integrates the humanities and the social sciences, students will better understand their own society as well as others.
This course is designed to provide students with a basic account United States from the Colonial period to present. This is a two-semester course where students are encouraged to attend and actively participate in the learning of US History.
Course Content
I have established an aggressive schedule in an attempt to get through as much of the book as possible. In addition to the content of the class, we will also be studying MLA format as it relates to research papers. Please note, the 180-day planner is subject to changes, based upon the process we go through the class.
